Leovegildo Lins da Gama Júnior was born in João Pessoa, Brazil on Jun. 29, 1954. As an extremely good footballer of Brazil, the competitive advantages of Júnior are technique, teamwork and versatility. Having made great contributions for Brazil national football team, he was regarded as an integral part of the Brazil national football team for his outstanding performances on football fields.
During his club career, he won numerous accolades, titles and trophies for several clubs he played for. In the late nineteenth century, he won Brazilian Championships in 1980, 1982, 1983 and in 1992. Pulling on Brazil football shirt, Júnior played for the Brazil national football team at numerous international competitions, scoring 7 goals in 69 appearances. After his playing career, he was appointed as the manager of Flamengo from 1993 to 1994, and in 1997. During his managerial career, he devoted himself to cultivate new-generation professional players for Flamengo, helping young footballers outdo their best at international competitions.
